lessons for guitar

What kind of guitar lessons should I get?
The place where I am learning to play acoustic guitar offers two styles. Rock / pop / jazz and classical. What should I take? I've never played the guitar but I've been playing piano for five years, if that makes a difference. Besides, what is an example of a classic song of the guitar and what is an example of a rock, pop, jazz or song for the guitar?
Rock pop and jazz is likely to learn more consistent and things. It would be good if you want to play real songs you know. My father plays classical guitar and I find all the songs that he plays very nice but often tells me how frustrated he gets playing to people when they say "why not play a song we know?". He began to teach to me a few months ago, I do not know what style would be considered. I only know how to play the song Horizons Genesis, the Beatles' Blackbird, and a song classic called La Grima. I just learned to copy what he did, that's how I learned to play classical piano as well. I realize that not everyone can learn that way however. If I were you I'd go classic, because I bet someone with a base in the classic will be able to pick up in the pop rock and jazz songs with ease, but Othe not the surroundings.
