Rock and Pop: New To Bass?

So I just got a bass yesterday, technically I’m not new to it since I’ve had one last year, but I hardly played.
This time I am serious about it but the thing is, I can NOT finger pick for sxxt. Not to mention my fretting hands fingers KILL from the string thickness. I’m much more used to guitar.

But anyways,
Any help you can offer me, or tutorials, sites, videos, etc. to help me improve bass quicker? Mainly my finger picking for now.
