How can we remain committed to play guitar?

I'm 16 and recently looked into taking classical guitar lessons. I practice but some days Im lazy or simply do not do it and dosent feel like I'm progressing. I like going to a music college so I have to be very good for the past year. Can anyone tell me how they stay committed to it? (BTW classical guitar is more difficult to learn that the work of a book and I'm working now on the scales of what is really boring) Thanks guys for all the answers!
