Is it akward to an 18-year-old to take classes for beginners instrument?

I want to take guitar lessons, bass, and continue in the clarinet, strange, laugh at my teacher with me? Am I too old?

I teach the violin and I like that students who are older. On the one hand, most of them are self-motivated and practice. Younger children are often taking classes because their parents want them (not always), and many have to be bothered to practice (as a child that is not always the practice of love … now I'm in my 40 years there is nothing he would not have to play all day … I wish I could do that). Moreover, physically, it is sometimes easier especially when you're older, to play. Young children sometimes are not strong finger to really push the guitar string to the frets (that's what I tell my friends guitar).
